Currently listening to Empire State of Mind by Alicia Keys ft Jay Z
Hello, lovelies I hope your week is going as great as you expected. I’m currently writing on a happy note and I don’t know why maybe I’m just having a good vibe. Well, it’s been a month since I got back from my trip to New York City so I decided to share my experience with you all.
Honestly, NYC is an incredible place to visit. Everything seems magical, the infectious energy, the soaring skyline, the never-ending enchantment that the city gives you. There’s a lot of chances you’ll be pervaded with a lot of inspirations. The key is to embrace your opportunity to explore the ”Empire State of Mind.”
So whether you’re a foodie, art lover, or simply looking to forgo the endless lines that tourist attractions bring forth, below are places I went and things to do the next time you’re taking a bite out of the Big Apple.
THE METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART
The Met is absolutely remarkable and MASSIVE. If you are a history buff, you could easily seek out a whole day just in this stunning piece of architecture. They have some great rotating exhibits. The Met is paid as you wish any day of the week, so this is a great cost-efficient way to spend a day. If you want to enjoy your pictures, I’ll advise you to go early.
BROOKLYN BRIDGE
You’ll have to make the trek and walk NYC’s most iconic bridge. If you want no crowds and a relaxing morning wake up for sunrise! and also hold a bottle of water. It’s a great way to start the day and take in the city views. It’s also a great location for taking pictures.
COLOR FACTORY
The Color Factory New York City was one of my favorite places in New York! This interactive exhibit was filled with colors, desserts, and picture-perfect spots! I loved seeing the different art installations from local New York artists. It’s definitely worth it. I also enjoyed how each room of the 20,000 square foot space was different with so much to do. We were at the disco in one room, playing xylophones in the next room, photo booth, spinning on a color chart and then jumping into the ball pit in the room after! Take your time through the Color Factory. It isn’t a timed experience so you can wait for crowds to pass through.
CENTRAL PARK
This is also a lovely place to stop. The juxtaposition of a beautiful green park in the middle of booming skyscrapers cannot be beaten. Central Park is big enough that you really can “escape the city”, even while being in the middle of it. The park offers lots of adventures you can visualize. My favorite place was the Central Park Zoo. Although, It’s also a very long walk.
TIME SQUARE
Honestly, Times Square is just a busy intersection surrounded by high rises and adorned with flashy advertisements, but this busy intersection still attracts tons of people.
You probably don’t want to spend a ton of time here as it really is a busy intersection, but you can’t miss going there at least once.
It’s so amazing how I did all these in three days and still got the best out of it. I honestly can’t wait for the next place to visit.
Did you enjoy the post? Do you have NYC on your travel bucket list? Have you ever been to any of the places listed? I’ll love you to share your views and also tell me places to visit.
